Free Disk Image/Clone /System Restore/partition back up Tool

Backing up data and restoring it fast is need of today computer world. with the continuous piling of data there is need of proper back which will help to recover during any unwanted situation
Here I am going to analysis few FREE System Restore tool that works fine and fully loaded with different feature.Whenever we think of back /recovery the first name comes in mind is Acronis/ Norton Ghost
Acronis True Image” or “Norton Ghost”. However both Acronis and Norton are commercial products that need to spend money to get licence but I am going to discuss some alternative for these paid software. So I did some research and came out free back up software

1) Free Paragon Backup & Recovery

Basically Paragon Back up and Recovery can create full backups of your hard drives, copy your hard drive.Paragon Backup & Recovery generates a backup of your data including operating system, application and personal files. The backup target can be another internal hard-drive, external storage such as CD/DVDs and portable disks, network storage as well as secured hidden partitions. Every file is copied sector-by-sector. A boot sector copy within the backup makes it easy to move from an old to a new hard-drive as the operating system doesn’t need to be re-installed. During recovery partition sizes are automatically adjusted if the new disk-drive has a different size. Paragon Backup & Recovery now supports SSD Drives and hard-disks larger than 2TB.

2) Macrium Reflect Free
Macrium Reflect is very gud professional disk cloning/imaging software with easy and user friendly GUI that allows you to create and compress full image backups, to explore each image backup just like you were viewing a folder which is helpful if you want to only restore a certain file instead of the whole backup.It has a scheduler and supports the creation of Linux and BartPE bootable disks.

3) DriveImage XML
DriveImage XML does not have the most user friendly but it is an easy to use and reliable program for imaging and backing up partitions and logical drives.

Image creation uses Microsoft’s Volume Shadow Services (VSS), allowing you to create safe “hot images” even from drives currently in use. Images are stored in XML files, allowing you to process them with 3rd party tools. Never again be stuck with a useless backup! Restore images to drives without having to reboot. DriveImage XML is now faster than ever, offering two different compression levels.
The program will backup, image and restore drives formatted with FAT 12, 16, 32 and NTFS.

4) Clonezilla

Clonezilla is not very user friendly so those were out the window pretty quickly.
Clonezilla is a powerful open-source disk imaging tool easy enough for new users to jump into. The server edition allows for network-based bulk disk imaging, and Clonezilla itself supports over a half-dozen file systems covering Windows, Linux, and Mac-based machines. Even if you’re using an obscure file system that isn’t supported, you can still use Clonezilla, but you’ll need to do a sector-to-sector copy instead of taking advantage of the efficiency and compression it applies when backing up a supported file system. The personal version of Clonezilla is a Live CD and customizable by the end user to meet a variety of needs in a variety of situations, with more than adequate documentation on the Clonezilla site to help you do so.

One day my brother accidentally deleted this some of snap from his memory card of mobile phone,then he asked me whether I can recover those file or not ,at that time I said that it is not possible but today when I started googling I found a good freeware tool to recover that

You just need to compose a email with your file in attachment and send it to save@backupelf.com. There’s no need to sign-up as the service will automatically create a new account when it receives the first message from your email address.

Later, you can log into the BackupElf website to retrieve your email backups. The free version offers 100 MB of storage space or you can go for a paid plans for additional space.

2) Gmail Drives (http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm)

GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google Mail account, allowing you to use Gmail as a storage medium.
GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google Gmail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your Gmail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag’n’drop files to.

In order for GMail Drive to operate,click here to download and install on your computer, the computer must be connected to the Internet and the user must have a Gmail account. A broadband connection is preferable, though not necessary, as all operations are done through Gmail and consequently over the Internet. GMail Drive uses the inbox of the Gmail account to store files and creates a virtual filesystem on top of the Gmail account, enabling the user to save and retrieve files stored on the Gmail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive adds a new virtual drive to the computer under the My Computer folder, where the user can create new folders, copy and drag-and-drop files to, but does not give an actual drive letter, such as C:, preventing its use in all console applications, and some older Windows applications.
When the user creates a new file using GMail Drive, it generates an e-mail and posts it to the Gmail account’s inbox. The e-mail appears in the normal Inbox folder when using the normal Gmail interface, and the file is attached as an e-mail attachment. GMail Drive periodically checks the mail account (using the Gmail search function) to see if new files have arrived and to rebuild the virtual drive’s directory structures.
Multiple computers can connect to one Gmail account thus allowing GMail Drive to act as a multi-user file server.
Consequently, restrictions on the Gmail service are also enforced when using GMail Drive. For example, files larger than 25 MB cannot be uploaded, as the maximum file size of Gmail attachments is 25 MB^[1]. In the past, Gmail also prevented users from transferring certain file types, such as an executable or ZIP archive. Some users bypassed this restriction by renaming the file extension or by putting it into a RAR or 7z archive. This restriction has now been lifted. A GNU software package named PHPGmailDrive even makes it possible to link different Gmail accounts together, and with some manual changes you can have a Gmail Drive built out of several Gmail accounts.

Ever since Google started to offer users a Gmail e-mail account, which includes storage space of 6000 megabytes, you have had plenty of storage space but not a lot to fill it up with. With GMail Drive you can easily copy files to your Google Mail Account and retrieve them again.
When you create a new file using GMail Drive, it generates an e-mail and posts it to your account. The e-mail appears in your normal Inbox folder, and the file is attached as an e-mail attachment. GMail Drive periodically checks your mail account (using the Gmail search function) to see if new files have arrived and to rebuild the directory structures. But basically GMail Drive acts as any other hard-drive installed on your computer.
You can copy files to and from the GMail Drive folder simply by using drag’n’drop like you’re used to with the normal Explorer folders.
Because the Gmail files will clutter up your Inbox folder, you may wish to create a filter in Gmail to automatically move the files (prefixed with the GMAILFS letters in the subject) to your archived mail folder.

Please note that GMail Drive is still an experimental tool. There’s still a number of limitations of the file-system (such as total filename size must be less than 65 characters). Since the tool hooks up with the free Gmail Service provided by Google, changes in the Gmail system may break the tool’s ability to function. I cannot guarantee that files stored in this manner will be accessible in the future.

Step 1: Download ClamWin Portable from the link below:

Step 2: Connect your USB device. Then go to the downloaded file. Double click on the exe file.

Step 3: Start the installation process. Select the correct location where the application is to be installed. Then click on Install.

Step 4: Now after successfully installing the application, go to the location where you have installed it. Double click on ClamWinPortable.exe to start the application.

Step 5: On first startup it will ask you to download the Virus Definition database. Click on yes.

Step 6: Now it will download the update. It may take a few minutes. Note that without downloading the database update the anti-virus is useless.

Step 7: Now you can select the drive to scan
Now you can easily disinfect any computer. But make sure that the virus definition database is up to date.
