Google one again taken a long leap toward helping people to search in Indian language .currently offers voice search in English But Now  it has also added Hindi language service. Further to enhance it plans to other Indian languages like Tamil, Marathi and Bengali.As of now Google was able to understand Hinglish but now it will search the content in Devanagari script.

How to use Voice Search on Android and on Desktop

To use Hindi voice-search you have to go to Google Settings on your Android phone, select Search and Now > Voice > Language and select Hindi (Bharat). For Desktop user Using Chrom Browser you need to Select the Language as Hindi once you have selected ensure the भारत is displayed below Google Image. Now Click on Mic Icon on Search Text box that is displayed on extreme right side.After clicking it will prompt to speak. Start Speaking in Hindi the search query script will be Devanagari  and all Result will be mostly from Hindi Content.

In another effort Google has started Showcasing Indian langauge content using a new website’www.hindiweb.com’ to help Hindi-speaking Internet users to get Hindi content across Internet.Currently this website is having various newspaper,blogs of different categories links.


Google has  announced beta support for Hindi handwriting and ability to switch to a native Hindi experience for your Android.Noe Hindi user can use Google search using HINDI language.

Once enabled, this feature will allow a user to scribble words in Hindi using his fingers or a stylus on the touchscreen of a phone or tablet. Google will recognize the word and perform a search query. The same feature can also be used to scribble words in Hindi and then translate them into English through the Google Translate app available for Android smartphones and tablets.

Laptop users can access the same feature by installing an extension in Chrome browser. Whenever you activate this (extension) your computer’s track pad will turn into a writing pad, so you can write Hindi script using freehand. Then the tool will recognize your handwriting and convert it to text, which can be inserted into text fields on any website

Android users who have access to the latest version (4.3) of the mobile OS can also use turn on Hindi user interface.

Recently Google  has implement Hindi Typing Input on Andriod device which  allows you to type messages, update on social networks or compose emails in Hindi on your Android phone.

There is no official Hindi font in Android 2.x, please make sure that your manufacturer provides additional Hindi font in your phone, otherwise the app will not work properly.

How can I enable the keyboard and set it as the default input method?

– On Android 4.x and newer versions:
Open Settings -> Language & Input, under “KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS” section, check Google Hindi Input, then click Default and select “Hindi transliteration” in the “Choose input method” dialog.
When typing in an input box, you can also change the default input method by selecting “Choose input method” in the Notification area.

– On Android 2.x:
Open Settings -> Language & keyboard, under “Keyboard settings” section, check Google Hindi input.
When typing in an input box, long press in the box and select “Input method” in the popup menu, then select “Google Hindi Input”.

How to use this application?

Hindi transliteration
– Toggle the button “a->अ” on English keyboard to turn on/off transliteration mode.
– In the transliteration mode, you can type Hindi word in English characters and the app will convert them to Hindi.
– For example, type “hindi” and then you will get the word हिंदी from a list.
English
– By turning off the transliteration mode on English keyboard, you can type in English.

Hindi keyboard
– Toggle the globe button to switch between English and Hindi keyboard
– Consonants are alphabetically ordered into 2 pages. Press the paging button “1/2” “2/2” to navigate between pages. Long press the character key to select various forms in the popup
