Google+ users will now be able to store and view  photos  in their Google Drive They can uploaded to the social media website via Google Drive under Google Photos tab. Google Map now in HINDI for Desktop and Android

Google today launched its Google Maps in Hindi which will make its navigation service more useful for Indian user.

It is available  for Hindi  for desktop and android mobile phone users, who will be able to see Hindi names for cities, localities, important roads and routes as well as popular points of interest such as public parks and schools.
 To explore Hindi name labels on Google Maps, people must enable Hindi as their preferred language on their device. On a desktop, user  can change the language preference to Hindi on their Google account settings or by selecting the “Hindi” option at the bottom of the page on the google.co.in home page. On Android, users simply need to select the Hindi option within the “Language and input” menu found in their phone’s ‘settings menu’.

After Hindi has been chosen as the preferred language, people will be able to see Hindi names directly on the map. These new labels that are visible on Google Maps today have been created by transliterating English names to Hindi, or, translating the English names to Hindi and ensuring the text matches with local dialects.

Orkut to Shutdown after 10 year on 30 September 2014

Google announced plans to shut down Orkut after 10 years, its first attempt at building a social network closed on September 30, after which users will be unable to log in or export their photo albums to Google+.
Now for new vistor is it not possible to create a new Orkut account. Existing users can access the service as normal, however; Google says the three-month period should “give the community time to manage the transition.” Orkut enthusiasts can also export their profile data , community posts and photos using Google Takeout.

“It’s been a great 10 years, and we apologize to those still actively using the service,”  Paulo Golgher, an engineering director at Google said.
The Orkut app will be removed from Google Play and the App Store later today.
Google+ was recently updated with a new photo editor, Auto-Awesome Effects and photo albums called Google+ Stories.

The objective of this project worldwide is increasing interest in people of Indian heritage sites . Street View technology , not only the country but also abroad sitting close to people of Indian heritage and get to know about . It is also possible to view online sites that is not easy to come up with the family .With the use of  Google’s Street View Tracker technology you can view Aifil Tower of France , the U.S. and Japan’s Mount Fuji Grand Canyon  , including various other World Heritage sites

Google make Quick office Free for Android and iOS for Everyone

Google is putting extra effort  to make it easier for everyone to work together Free of Cost.
On Thursday Google  announced that its Quickoffice mobile app, for viewing and editing Microsoft Office files, is now free to anyone with a Google account on Android and iOS. Earlier, the app was only free to Google Apps for Business subscribers — everyone else had to shell out $14.99 for the pro version or $19.99 for the pro HD version.

With this offer Google is offering an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage for the next two years to anyone who signs up their Google account for the new Quickoffice app by September 26.. Quickoffice is integrated with Google Drive so you can safely and easily store and access your files across devices. Users who currently have Quickoffice for Google Apps for Business can update their app to the new version and will notice a new icon.Quick office apps can be downloaded freely from Google Play and iStore

Quickoffice for iOS and Android lets users create, view, and edit Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint files on their mobile devices. The app is also integrated with Google Drive so files can be stored and accessed across devices.
Google added a few new features to the app as well, including the ability to create ZIP folders and view charts in PowerPoint and Excel. Google said people already using Quickoffice for Google Apps for Business can update to the new app.

 Quickoffice was acquired by Google in June 2012 and has been expanding its availability ever since.
